Today (11th Feb 2016) the year 1 children were lucky to have a visit from Kris and Paddy from the engineering firm RPS. Kris and Paddy spoke to the children about the role of the civil engineer, shapes needed to make strong houses and different types of houses from around the world. Kris and Paddy helped the children complete a gum drop challenge using tooth picks and gumdrops. The children and teachers also got to try on some hard hats and high visibility vests! We all had a great time and hope that Kris and Paddy come back soon!
