What a fantastic night was enjoyed by everyone who attended the Nevin Maguire cookery demonstration on Tuesday 13th September in Drumragh Integrated College. There was a palpable buzz of anticipation as the minutes ticked by to Nevin's demonstration  while those attending browsed the 17 traders' stalls sampling a wide range of goodies and crafts.

Nevin  had his audience enthralled with his easy-going manner and delicious recipies which he demonstrated to an appreciative audience.  Many thanks to all of our sponsors for supporting the event and those who donated raffle prizes. Thanks also to our ever  hard working Parents' Council for organising the night. A special word of recognition goes to the main organisers of the evening, Mrs Andrea McCrory and Mrs Emma-Jayne Fowler who were ably assisted by Mrs Denise O'Hagan and Miss Rachael O'Donnell,  for their sterling work to make the evening such a huge success.

A final thank you to our parents, staff  and local community for supporting the fund-raising event for our new school resources.

Nursery and Year 1 Admissions - NEW SCHOOL STARTING JANUARY 2017

BREAKING NEWS!   BREAKING NEWS!   BREAKING NEWS!

The Board of Governors are delighted to announce that local contractors, Woodvale Construction, have been  awarded the contract to build our brand new school (subject to  a 10-day ‘standstill’ period ending on 16th December).   This is fantastic news for the whole OIPS community and will ensure a late December 2016/Early January 2017 start for ground works and construction to begin. We’re another step closer to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of those insightful founders who started it all off twenty six years ago and look forward with confidence and enthusiasm to our brand new, ‘state-of -the -art’ building.

Nursery and Year 1 admissions are currently being accepted for the 2017/2018 school year which promises to be an historical one for the whole Omagh Integrated Primary School & Nursery community with the imminent beginning of our brand new, state-of-the-art primary school building in January 2017.

Plans are well advanced for our new school with works due to begin in January 2017  and  an opening in the late summer of 2018 if all goes according to plan. There is a palpable 'buzz' of excitement around the school amongst pupils, staff, parents and governors as preparations continue in relation to the design and planning of the new school.

A team of experts ranging from architects to structural engineers, quantity surveyors to  environmental specialists (and not forgetting our own governors, staff, parents and pupils) have been involved in contributing to the  design process and each week brings us closer to realising the dream of entering  our state of the art, purpose built, 21st century school which OIPS have been waiting patiently for the past 26 years.

Indeed it is due to the vision, hard work and dedication of past and present  governors, parents, principals and staff  that we are at the threshold of consolidating Integrated Education for the Omagh area and beyond for many years to come. The move to our new location beside Drumragh Integrated College will see the creation of   'Omagh Integrated Campus'  and will provide a continuum of Integrated Education for all children from pre-school to 18 years of age.

Exciting times lie ahead for us all, and integrated education in particular, over the next few years as our school continues to go from strength to strength. Our new school building will be the realisation of a dream for many, but at the core of any building - be they 'mobiles' or 'state of the art', lies the people who occupy them and the quality of experiences that our pupils receive every single day. We're confident that our new school building will only enhance further the learning experiences our pupils already receive and we all look forward with great excitement to the beginning of a new chapter in the continuing story that is ...

Omagh Integrated Primary School & Nursery.
