Balloon found in Töysä, Finland

"Hello Mr Bradley
My father has found a balloon with a message from his forest during last weekend. There was a message attached to the balloon which stated that it was sent from your school. There was "Amber P.2 2015" written on the backside of the message card. I hope that Amber will be informed that her balloon has been found from Töysä, Finland. It has traveled quite a long trip. Birds eye distance from your school is 1200 miles / 2000 kilometers."

Understandably the children in the Y2 classes, and indeed throughout the school, were very excited by how far the balloon had travelled and it provided the children and their teachers Miss Mc Sorley and Miss Keys with an exciting learning opportunity to put the curriculum area of the ‘World Around Us’ into reality.

Here is a link to an article about this from our local paper.
