Year 7 Leaver's Trip 2023
Our Year 7 students were in for a treat when they embarked on an exciting adventure to Gortatole Adventure Centre on Tuesday Morning.
As we arrived at Gortatole, the students were greeted by the centre's team of experienced and qualified instructors, who were on hand to guide them through a range of exhilarating activities. The students had the opportunity to explore underground caves, tunnels, and caverns during their caving expedition. The instructors ensured that everyone had a safe and enjoyable experience, while also teaching the students about the geology, history, and ecology of the area.
The fun continued with canoeing on Lough MacNean Lower, a beautiful and tranquil lake that was perfect for water sports. The students got to explore the lake and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside (until a battle of the paddles/water splashing commenced). With the expert guidance and support of the instructors, the students gained new skills and confidence while having a blast.
After a day of adventure and excitement, the students headed to 9th Avenue pizzeria and bowling in Enniskillen for some well-deserved rest and relaxation. The pizzeria served a delicious array of pizzas and other treats, and the bowling alley offered a fun and competitive atmosphere. The students enjoyed bonding with each other over a game of bowling, and indulging in some tasty pizza.
Overall, it was a day filled with laughter, learning, and new experiences. The students had a wonderful time and returned home with memories that will last a lifetime. We extend our heartfelt thanks to both Gortatole Adventure Centre and 9th Avenue pizzeria and bowling alley for making our day truly unforgettable! Have a watch at the video to see how much fun the boys and girls had!
