STAR OF THE WEEK
To: the pupils of O.I.P.S.,
Just because you’re not in the building with us, it doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about you. In fact, we’re thinking about you even more. We’re wondering how you’re getting on, we’re imagining that all of the changes happening are difficult to deal with and we’re thinking that you might be missing us (a little bit anyway).
We’re missing things too. We’re missing the delivery of that famous red clipboard every week, when we get to write down who we have chosen as our star of the week. That makes us feel a little bit sad and it’s an uncomfortable feeling.
In school, we tell you that every feeling is ok and that’s true. It’s ok for people to be sad. We also tell you that how you act on those uncomfortable feelings is so important. So, here’s what we did:
๐Uncomfortable feeling = sad
โWhy? = we couldn’t get awarding our Star of the Week
โ
Action = keep doing Star of the Week; just change the way we give out the certificate. Let’s post it online instead!
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
So, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this week's STAR OF THE WEEK IS ... ๐ EVERY OIPS PUPIL๐, for being brave, behaved and brilliant and for working so hard at home - well done!
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Print out your certificate (if you can) and display it proudly in your home. If you can’t print it out, why not draw a copy of the certificate or design your own?
We are thinking of you all and we want you to know that you are all STARS ๐.
