Sod Cutting Ceremony
Baroness May Blood(Campaign Chair of Integrated Education Funds) and a high flying business man, Johnson Fitzpatrick, joined guests to mark the start of the new school build for Omagh Integrated PS with an official sod cutting ceremony. John Fitzpatrick, hotelier and chair of Ireland funds, flew in especially for the occasion. There was a buzz of excitement as the helicopter landed on the playing fields at Drumragh College adjacent to the site of the new school.
Pupils, parents, staff and governors (past and present) welcomed the special visitors and thanked them for their help in making the plans for the new school become a reality. This new school building has been the dream of all those associated with the school over the past 26 years and at last this dream is about to become a reality.
Thanks must go to Woodvale construction company who made time in their busy schedule of building the school to host the event and to Drumragh College for their hospitality.
