OIPS garden
A group of year 5 pupils helped Mr Thompson and Mrs Clements to give the garden a tidy up before leaving it for the winter. We planted a Buddleia bush donated by Mrs Taggart to help attract the butterflies in summer. We removed dead plants from another bed and sowed cabbage seeds which will grow over the winter. We added crocus bulbs to the daffodil bed and primroses to two other beds.
The memory seat which was built by Mr Thompson last year is a place of reflection and serenity where the OIPS community can sit quietly, see the landscape of the Sperrins and engage the senses with all that is around them. It’s a token of our love and affection for those who have passed away from the OIPS family over the years.
