During the month of November our Nursery class were learning about Road Safety, People Who Help Us and Day & Night.
We became familiar with the green cross code and developed our awareness on road signs, traffic lights and vehicle safety.
Our People Who Help Us theme allowed us to explore a wide range of people within our community who help us. This was a very popular theme with children developing their knowledge on various occupations, associated vehicles and buildings.
We enjoyed role play in the hospital and bedroom areas and outdoor fire station. Children also engaged with various cookery activities making traffic light biscuits and fire engine biscuits.
Finally through our during day and night theme the children developed their awareness on morning time and bedtime routines, dark and light and nocturnal animals. We also enjoyed making cookies and hot chocolate during our bedtime story session.
