Year 6 have been exploring lots of fun Numeracy activities this week to celebrate Maths Week Ireland. As part of our topic work on Handling Data, we’ve been busy in class gathering data, interpreting tally charts and making bar and line graphs! We’ve also enjoyed using IZAK9 and getting familiar with interactive characters Abacus and Helix, working together in groups to solve various Mathematical tasks. In Year 6 we know that Numeracy is necessary for everyday living and it’s so important to develop logical thinking in everyday activities. It’s also important to have fun along the way when working hard to develop our Mathematical skills! :-)
